A Female-run family farm in the Gedeb district of southern Yirgacheffe, Bedhatu Jibicho has been producing this single origin coffee since 1991. Ethiopia Bedhatu Jibicho is a light roast featuring a delicate balance of sweet citrus notes, syrupy body, and elegant perfume high notes. A layered experience with new flavors each sip. Notes of Candied Lemon, Mango and Jasmine
For this washed lot, cherries are hand sorted and floated to separate out less dense beans, then depulped, fermented for 48 hours, and washed and classified again. The parchment is rinsed and placed on raised beds where it's hand sorted and dried over a 12 to 15 days. It is this detailed process that makes the coffee so special.
