Why You'll Love It:
This exceptional coffee, with notes of wild grapes and fresh cream with a clean floral finish, captures the lush flavors of tropical forests in the New Guinea Highlands. There, producers manage small farms and closely focus on each coffee plant to create an incredibly consistent and ripe harvest.
Story of the Bean:
Papua New Guinea is the land of smallholder farmers - producers who each only farm a few hectares of land. The majority of these producers primarily grow food for their own consumption, but many of them also tend a small lot of coffee as a cash crop. These small lots are often called "coffee gardens". This selection, from the verdant highlands of Papua New Guinea, is a prime example of the vibrant and complex coffees cultivated in these small family gardens.
